Hi, I am new to the world of hermies, I have one small one and 2 larger ones now, I had another small one she died. Hence the 2 new large ones. I keep a background moist in the tank, keep there 2 water dishes and do some misting but its not enough oh yea I tried sponges I can't get it to go over 60% and usually hangs around 55%. I dont want them to die. Please help. Post here or you can e-mail me butterfliewind@gmail.com.

How big is their habitat? Does it have a lid?
For example....
If you have a 10 gallon tank with a lid... you can place a small reptile heating pad underneath one side of the tank, and place one of their water bowls on that side of the tank, then drape a towel over part of the lid. That will help increase your humidity, as well as letting them have a warm side to go to if they get cold.

Hope that helps.

They have a 10 gallon aquarium with a screen lid. I covered 3/4 of the lid with wax paper thats all I had, and I didn't put the heater underground because of where I have it so it is on the side.

Is the heater, and wax paper helping?

No, I don't know what to try. I have been searching and researching and all they say is add sponges, and that does nothing in the tank.
