other land crabs

does anyone know of a good website about land crabs....it doesn't necessarily have to be from a husbandry perspective, mainly what i am looking for is kind of a field guide to all of the world's land crab species....pictures, taxonomy, locality, habitat, etc. i can't seem to find much in the way of books or websites

Sorry I am not sure, and I am suprised you can't find much when you google it. Good Luck.

I've seen halloween crabs (orange and deep purple/blue/black) and heard of coconut crabs (really big suckers that live like hermit crabs until they get too big for any shell, at which point they take to the trees and keep on growing!) and ghost crabs (same color as beach sand and they dig lots and lots of burrows to scurry in) I don't think there are many crabs that live out of water, although fiddler crabs seem to be able to live a somewhat amphibious lifestyle, as they seem to like coming out of the water once in a while.

I hope that with these few species names you'll be able to turn up some more results.
