parrot sinus cavities

can a parrot breath with only one side of its nasal cavity,and if a nasal cavity gets damaged can it heal on its own,and if so will it still be fuuctional?

All right, any chance you want to tell the story behind this question? If you have a bird with a damaged nasal cavity, the thing to do would be to bring the bird to a good avian vet.

Yes, parrots can breath out of only one nasal cavity. If one is damaged beyond repair, they can breath out of the other. Nasal cavities can heal on their own, but whether they will be functional will depend on the extent of the damage. Also, injuries to the nostrils and nasal cavities are particularly susceptible to infection, and a serious infection can, of course, kill. A vet might prescribe antibiotics depending on the injury.
