Laying Eggs

edgar May 27, 2003 11:50 PM

Hi, I am new here and I have a couple of questions. Last year Edgar got eggbound, I took here to the vet and after 3 days she was still eggbound. The vet decided to go in and take the rest of the eggs and remove some of the organs so she could'nt produce any more eggs. Well tonight I noticed 6 eggs in her cage. She acts fine and healthy. I dont know if she has more eggs or not , the first time she had about 30. I was wondering if there is any vitamin supliment or anything I could add to her diet to help maybee ease the egg laying process. BTW about 2 moths ago I just could'nt feed her enough, now the last couple of week she wont hardly eat at all, maybee just1 or 2 bearded dragon pellets or a few live crickets and nothing else. I put calcium powder on everything I feed her so I know she gets that.
Thanks in advance, Chris

There's not alot you can do as far as making sure she doesn't get eggbound again in the way of suppliments etc. I would think it is a good sign that she has passed some this time. keeping her hydrated would be the only thing I could think of.
I know I'd be calling that vet!! He obviously didn't take out what he thought!!
