I am sorry that I don't have a lot of helpful advice on this. I have heard of it happening and usually the breeder will have to pull the babies and handfeed instead. I do not know of a way to "train" a hen to start feeding their chicks so hopefully someone on here has experience with that. Have you asked your avian vet for advice. They may have some helpful suggestions in case this happens again or might be able to help with advice on handfeeding if it eventually comes to that with another clutch.
In this case I would think hand raising the babies may be the only answer. There are some birds in all breeds that simply don't make good parents. Google handraising baby canaries and your local avaian vet would be a great resource for information.
