Last night we arrived home to find one of our cockatiels sneezing alot and coughing a little bit. This morning she was wheezing and was making a gurgling sound while breathing. 30 minutes later she was dead. I walked back into the room and she was sneezing like crazy she flew down to the ground and started convulsing basically in spasms. Her wings were spread wide out and stiff when I tried to pick her up. She then flipped upside down on to her back and was dead.

She seemed a little down the past 3 days but nothing out of the ordinary. After she died she coughed up a pink tinged light green mucus, very liquidy. Any ideas what this could have been? We would have taken her to the vet for an autopsy, but it's Sunday. I am very worried about the other birds we have, but they all seem fine so far. My plum headed parakeet was making some very light wheezing sounds(hard to tell if its much different then his usual odd sounds though) and we are gonna take him to the vet tomorrow just to be safe.

Should I quarantine all the rest of my birds from each other in different rooms? Her mate though is perfectly fine and isnt experiencing anything like the symptoms she had, they spend all their time together basically.
