All my birdies, for as long as I can remember, have been disabled birdies. I have always chosen them because, sadly, people (which is understandable) tend to buy only healthy ones and the disabled or weaker animals often die out of neglection or not proper or special care in the pet shops.
So all my birdies are special, and trust me, I love them even more because of how unique they are, their will to "make it" and live in spite of their problems, etc.
They have brought me joy, always, even when they die I still am glad I had them in my life and I love them to pieces.
I actually have a blog "written" by one of my disabled birdies, in the first entries you will be able to see or learn about them, and about other stories of disabled animals or rescued animals in general
