hello everyone. i jsut got a canary a week ago. i already had a female, and the one i jsut got is a male. the male seems to be weezing when he tries to breathe and sometimes sneezes. im thinking its a cold or air sac mites. the vet isnt open till tuesday, any suggestions till then? i cant take him back to where i got him cause im already attatched! soemone please help!

Hi Laura. Sorry your canary is sick. Until you can get him to the vet, put him in a separate cage from the female and cover his cage. When my birds are sick, I place a heating pad (on low) on the cage to keep them warm.
He needs warmth and quiet to fight his illness. Because of the cover, he will be less active.
