Do you belong to a bird club? Where do you get your breeding supplies? Some people order their bands from the same place they get their breeding supplies. There are lots of places you can order them from redbirdproducts.com, L and M Bird Leg Bands, Birds2Grow (already mentioned) National Finch Society...to name a few.
What kind of birds? As you probably know from breeding lizards, there are lots of considerations when you start breeding, lots of preparation.
Let us know if you have any more questions and good luck.
(and, not sure what you mean by bird "collecting", lol, whatcha gonna do with em?)

thank you all for the info. i have already ordered bands for my zebra finch from bird2grow. i also plan on trying to breed cockatiels and canaries, or maybe some other type of finch. i am currently working on fabricating a breeding cage from tiels.
