I am looking for a Gloster canary and not having any luck. There are a few "bird stores" in S. Cal, but I'm not sure I want to go there. Any suggestions? This will be my first bird purchase and I would like to buy from a breeder...

Have you checked bird magazines, such as Bird Talk, for bird breeders? Should be some listed there.

I found one. I called the lady whose store(antique) I saw one at and she told me where she purchased hers. It is a local canary store here in town so I am off to see what they have... I have been researching birds for months now and I hope I am ready... Wish me luck...
