hayleytanswell Dec 07, 2004 12:25 PM

Woke up this morning to find the mother of my finch chicks dead in the nest, after spending the day watching the dad and already losing the smallest of the 3 chicks, i decided it might be in their best interest for me to hand rear, but how? whats the best way to make a sucess of this?

Please help!! i dont want to lose them if there is away i can save them

I'm sorry their mother died. Is the dad not feeding them at all? I hand-fed some finches several years ago, but unfortunately they died after a few days.

I've contacted a friend who maybe could post here to help you. In the meantime, try calling your avian vet for advice.
