Hi,
Im not sure I posted my question in the correct forum, but I couldnt find a forum that matched my animal. Anyway, I have a group of 4 cinnamin blue face button quail, housed in a soft mesh 200 gallon reptarium. For those of you who havent heard of button quail, they are a type of CB(and wild) quail that grow to be about the size of a tennis ball. There are over 18 species, and if you want to see what they look like go to google and type in "button quail" under images. They are quite cute. Whats worrying me is what the quials are doing. They are picking out each others feathers, and when I try to seperate them they cry loudly and go on a hunger strike. They are all males, but they cant stand a minute when seperated. I have the correct diet, lighting, vitamins, and caging, but Im afraid that they are hurting one another. This has been going on for about a year. Are they just establishing a pecking order? Any input would be appreciated, thanks!
Michele
