It all began with the female zebra finch dying- mabey she was eggbound or sick. At least we had three baby birds and three other finches to take care of them. Then, one of the society finches died as well. That's when I suspected an illness. Now, I'm positive that it was an illness because the two baby birds were not heard chirping all day- they were dead to. And to think, they probably would have fleged in a few weeks! I just hope that the male zebra finch and the other society finch don't die as well- though they might be pretty lonely..
