We have a pair of cockatiels and wondered if we could put them in a cage with a pair of lovebirds. If so how big of a cage would we need?
Has anyone tried this type of thing before?
Any info will help.

Lovebirds (Agopornis) are extremely aggressive and territorial. They are even known to kill their mates who they have previously been fine with.
Cages are seen as territory, and especially so with bonded pairs of birds. That means that they must defend their territory against interlopers (the other pair).
My vet texts have far too many photos of cockatiels with their beaks ripped off by lovebirds, and I have read too many accounts of birds with amputated feet and toes from Lovebirds.
Unless you have something on the order of a 10' x 20' flight cage, I would not recommend thinking about it. Even that may be too small, given the pugnacious attitude of Lovebirds.
And to make sure there is no confusion. That's a 10 feet by 20 feet flight cage.
