My roommate and I each had a cockatiel (Perry and Bella) and when we went away to school, we had them move in together at my parents house. Well, they HATE/LOVE eachother AND us! I don't understand! They fight ALL. THE. TIME. and they also work at making babies ALL. THE. TIME. They don't let eachother near the food or the nest and they hiss at eachother and flare their wings. but if you take one out of the cage, the other cries and squeals and goes NUTS until you return their one true love! And WORSE, Perry at least used to be a very nice bird who loved to sit on your hand, but since they moved in together, they won't let you NEAR them. They bite viciously, and you can still pick them up, they aren't large enough to do real damage, but as soon as they can they fly off and into a window. Yet when you're near the cage they come right up to the bars and coo and chuckle quietly with squinty eyes at your face and love it when you talk or sing to them. But then when you lift your hand, they hiss and back off. The only thing that changed was that Perry and Bella became PellaandBerry, why the change in personality towards us??? THANKS!!
