Bath time

nymph Apr 09, 2005 06:17 PM

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone has any hydrophobic tiels?? My three hate water. I can mist them, but any time I have ever tried to put them in a shallow dish or in the sink, or put a water dish in thier cage, they flap like mad, fly out, and seem to hate it. My finches love water, they take a bath at least twice a day. Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to ease my tiels into enjoying bath time, or should I just stick with the misting??

Oh by the way, sorry I have not talked to everyone in a while. I was able to find a great home for one keet, and the same homw for one tiel. They are doing great and love thier new home. I am still working on homes for two keets but I am in no hurry, I want to keep them together, and make sure they have only the best home. The baby will be here in about 10 weeks, and I just hope that between me my hubby, and family that we will have time for the birdies.

None of my birds will ever bathe when I ask them to. While they do jump in their water dish occassionally, of their own accord, they refuse bathing dishes and sinks/tubs of water. They LOVE to be misted though. So we just do the misting thing and it works fine.
