my 2 tiels can go through one peice of millet in one day, should they get one a day or less than that? also what is the actual purpose of millet or is it just a treat? (im very new to birds)

Millet is a favorite of most tiels, although mine isn't a fan of it. It's not a bad seed so they can have a fair bit but I'd probably only give them one lot a week, otherwise it might be all they decide to ever eat. Most people use it as a treat only or for rewards.

thank you very much, i'm going to start giving it to them once a week because i think they do eat that instead of their regular tiel food, but atleast today when they didnt have any millet left they ate the zuccini and carrots i gave them.
