My (I'm pretty sure--female) tiel exhibits strange behavior about once a month or so. She chirps in a frantic, short, high pitch & sticks her tail feathers & butt into the air. Is this some type of mating cycle? She has bonded with me, has never been with another bird, either male or female. She is also very affectionate at these times, if I take her out and play with her.
