cocking head

sandybeth Dec 15, 2006 05:24 PM

I must get a photo of my beautiful tiel when she cocks her head at about a 60 degree angle. It is so cute! When I get finished playing with her in the evening, I will lie on the couch reading while she sits in her cage on the open doorway (I leave her cage open when I'm in the room, she feels more free that way). She will look at me and cock her head with her lovely crest sticking straight up. I suppose this is common?

We would love to see pics of your cockatiel!! The head cocking does seem to be a trait for the cockatiels. Stormy will sit there with his head cocked to the side and his crest as extended as possible while he whistles away. Sunny will do this as well but not as often. From what I have seen they will all do this on occassion but some do it more often and just seem so cute when doing it LOL!
