I was reading the posts from the person who had a blue IRN that bit a lot. I was sorry to read later that the bird flew away (been there, done that...hurts like hell).
I got my green female IRN "Boomdas" around 6 years ago. She was 9 months old, wild, and bit like a son of a gun..punctures!!
Anyway, after a week of this I let her watch me interact with my CAG. I was amazed! After about an hour of this she climbed out of her cage, came over to me and chortled in that sweet way that only IRNs have. She was fine after that, cuddly and always wanting to be with me. I think she just had to see for herself that I was not a dangerous person. Ummm, she does still bite if I take too many liberties with her but over the years I have learned her particular personality and we get along just fine.
She has one annoying call that feels like it is pinching your eardrums, I am sure you know what I am talking about
I just thought that this experience might be helpful to you in the future.
Your advice to everyone is right on and I have benefited from it too. Bless you.
Marilyn
