Hey i have 2 budgies and i have a little OCD
just wondering.... can you lotion parakeets feet without killing them? im tempted to but im asking first cause i care about them..

I would really suggest not lotioning their feet. First most lotions have at least some fragrance in them. It may be very minimal but still there, even many of your baby lotions or lotions you get from the doctor/hospital have either fragrance or medications in them. Fragrance of course could be dangerous to your budgies absorbed through the skin etc. Next there is the fact that they do "taste" their feet. Even though budgies do not use their feet to eat as much as many other birds they do still use them and get them in contact with their beaks. In doing this it is possible they could ingest part of the lotion which again could be dangerous even if no fragrance is in the lotion.
