Hi, I work at a pet shop, and someome abandoned a lori on us yesterday. I claimed him(?). Now I'm trying to figure out exactly what species he is. He most closoly resembles the Swainson's (or blue mountain lory) except that where he is supposed to be bright blue he is almost black with an irridescent sheen, and his breast is blood red, not a touch of yellow on it (or blue for that matter).

So, his entire head and neck are an irridescent black, with dark blue shafting on the forehead, and dark burgundy brown shafting on the back of the head (you can't see it except in the right light and at the right angle) his breast is a rich blood red, the feathers are not edged or shafted in any other color. The bottom of his abdomen, under his breast is again an irridescent black. His back and sides are green, and he has a bright greenish yellow (mostly yellow with just a hint of green) nape. His beak is also blood red, as are his irises. His feet are grey. His tail is shortish, about the same length as his body and is in dissaray so its hard to tell what shape it should be. He has a few yellow feathers dispersed in the green of his legs, and seems to have a few yellow wing feathers (his wings have been poorly clipped so again, hard to tell.)

Any ideas?
