feather loss

i have two younger parakeets and the mail has had alot of feather loss in the last few days. mostly from his back and neck. isnt it to early to molt? please help

In captivity birds will molt at different times than in the wild. We have four budgies currently, two are molting the other two are not. I honestly don't know right off when molting season for budgies is in the wild but we have had ones molting at this time during the year many times. If there are other signs of illness then a vet visit would be in order but I would guess this is just molting feather loss.
