Adding to the flock

I Have a 11 year old TAG and, I am considering aquiring a Bare eyed cockatoo, to my TAG. I have done my research and have read that they can be very loud. Are there any non general quarks that the species might have that will not be in general information??(personal experience that i should know about ). I know they need alot of attention. For my grey I spend minimal of one hour with the parrot and she is out for at least 4hrs a day? For the Bare Eyed should it be more or roughly the same? I am also trying to figure out the best way to introduce the two together. Right now I am going to be going down and visiting with Coco(Bare Eyed) for the next couple weeks. After a couple weeks should i stat bringing my TAG(Teeke) with me to start getting them aquainted or will it not matter?( Coco will be vet checked before teeke goes to visit.)

I do not know that taking your TAG with you would be the best idea. If you are set on getting a new bird it would probably be best to introduce them slowly after bringing them home in a neutral area. By taking your TAG to the other birds home your TAG is already going to feel insecure and will be going into the other birds territory. This seems that it would actually cause even more mistrust. If you bring the new bird home, starting it in a separate room, let it settle in for a few weeks so it feels like it is "home" not in a strange situation and then slowly start introducing them (either in a third room away from both cages or maybe on a new playstand etc. It should help both birds feel more comfortable. There is a possibility that both birds will share an instant dislike but most birds can be taught to at least tolerate the new arrival.

The bare eyed can definitely be loud although if well cared for and kept entertained they will usually keep their screams to a minimal "greeting the day", dusk etc instead of constantly screaming. They are definitely louder than the TAG, they seem to be more cuddly than the TAG but maybe a little slower on learning to talk etc.
