ok my hubby brought in a Parakeet from his sisters hubby about 6 months ago seems they didnt have the time 4 it any more so we took it in (i am dog/cat person normally)
to start off it hated me but loved hubby and would not bite hime when he put his hand in the cage then hubby went away 2 wrk for a week and i had 2 do it.got my hands bitten every day then he seem 2 calm down which i thougt was great BUT now he hates every1 and will not stop flying onto my head at my every move.
he dive bombs the kids and squeals like mad if any1 but me goes near him or his cage.
i have tried keeping him 2 his cage 4 a few days and getting only others 2 feed him but 2 no avail.
now ha has started head bobbing and slightly raisng his wings at me then placing his head in my hand 2 have it scrathed and if not given the attention goes banging his mirror on the side of the cage.
twice he has landed in 1 of my dogs mouths due 2 flying 2 the floor cuz that where i at lucky dogs not 2 fussed on eating him.
but he has gone from a quiet distant bird 2 a very noisey and constantly needing attention bird.
can any1 plz give advice as he is drivin me nuts and scares every1 else 2 death !!!!!!!!!
