i'm no quitter!!!!

sheesh....here we go again! after recovering some from the loss of our little man, tank, we're giving it yet another go.... we're getting another bhc from a wonderful wonderful lady. we'll be able to bring him/her [hopefully him] home when he's still on 2 feedings a day - and yes, i've done it before, no danger there, and she and i both favor the syringe method!
she's been sending me pictures of the little duckling dinosaur, and he gets cuter and cuter every week!
i'm scared! but i'm so happy for olive, the 'big sister' bhc. she is gonna just love having a sibling again! somebody to eventually chase around the house besides me and the dogs! =]

ohhhhh....the little angel boy is home!!! he's 10 weeks old, and just the sweetest little thing! the home where he was hatched had four kids running around, and i guess the 3 year old played with the babies a lot....barbie cars, doll houses....=]
he's just so darn cute! loves to snuggle. will jump off of anything just to get to 'momma'...i have to be verrrry careful where i put him...dog beds follow him everywhere he goes...he's a bit like a birdie stunt man! i think the name is going to have to be 'ranger'...like an army ranger, because he's fearless and airborne. plus he's got the tab colors...can you tell i'm an army brat?
olive's doing well with him, i think she doesn't quite understand that he is a BABY, and wants to play with him, but ends up knocking him over or off of stuff pretty regularly. i'm seeing little instances of jealously, too, which is cute.
i have a question, i'm handfeeding him, exact, and olive always demands some when he's being fed, but i'm almost sure i read somewhere that baby food is NOT good for adult birds -she's two - but i can't remember where/if i read it, and why it might not be good for them. anybody know for sure one way or the other?
