i just had a 3 year old blue and gold given to me and he is doing ok but he never been with anyone but his first owner and he is biting anyone that get near him just wanted to know the best way to try getting him out of it

There are several books directed to this type of behavior. I believe one is called Secondhand Parrot. Another is Parrot Problem Solver. You will have to be patient. Start with small steps. Getting your bird to come to you and take a treat by hand. Getting him to step onto your hand or a perch using distraction (a toy or treat in the other hand) and so on but think small steps and lots of patience. Sometimes letting it come out of its cage on its own and getting it to come to you will help.
