My two Muscovies occasionally act strange. They stand up tall and straight so they look a bit like Indian Runners then make little noises. They just stand like that, like they've seen something frightening.

That's basically what they do, I think... son't know how else to describe it...

My mallard does that too sometimes, when he's alert and suspicious. Usually when he hears something outside my door that he is uncertain of or if he sees a large bird fly by window. I think that's completely normal.
