Hi I have found a Mallard nest in my back yard by the pond - I discovered it when I was taking a stroll around the yard with my dog. The parents have flown off and didn't return withing 3 hours, not wanting the eggs to die I took them and am now wondering how to go about with a successful hatching. I don't have an incubator and am currently keeping the eggs against my skin to keep them warm. I do have a heating lamp and blankets to use but am afraid of cooking the little fella's. I have not yet candled them to see how old they are but I recall the ducks being around for a couple of weeks now. It has been more than 8 hours since we found them and the parents are no where to be seen...I don't want to put them back in fear of losing them... please help me with any suggestions you may have!
thanks Riz
