Hi, I just rescued an abandoned duck, and since last night it has been weezing and I just found out that it's nostrel is clogged!! WHAT DO I DO??
Its a duckling* and it also acts like it's leg is paralized. It seems uninterested in swimming and I just feel so sorry for it I need help ASAP please!!!!!! On the bright side she is eating rather well, so am I imagining this illness??
First, I'd get it to the vet. There are respiratory diseases that could be a part of the problem.
You can also clean the nostrils with a damp wash rag. But if there's a respiratory problem it's not going to help for long.
Make sure there is plenty of water available to the duckling as they need it to clear their nostrils and bills. They don't just swim in it, they clean food out of their mouths and nostrils.
Since there is a problem with the leg, I would definitely get it to a vet, it may have something broken or dislocated which is VERY PAINFUL.
