I will be the first to admit I know nothing about birds, but this morning I was at my computer, which is next to a window with a tree right next to it, and my dog spooked a bird and it flew out of its nest straight into the window and broke its neck. The bird, which I think might be a cardinal, had two eggs in a nest. My question is should I take the eggs and incubate them and hatch the birds? If so, How do I do that? I know all about reptile eggs and stuff like that but nothing of birds. Do I leave them in the nest and just keep them warm, or remove them from the nest and keep them in something else? Or should I just not even bother? I want the birds to be ok and live and everything but I work at a petshop and they hand feed the birds this nasty goo stuff, and I can't say that I really want to do that. I thought you just fed them worms with tweezers or something.
Well, any help is appreciated.
