Blue jay help ASAP!! L@@K! Blue-jay people! Help!

There is a young baby blue jay. The parents will look at it but not feed it. Is it true that sometimes the whole flock will help Baby?? A bird expert said to leave Baby in a safe shrub for the parents to find so we did. They look at it but don't touch it.
