I found a baby blue jay in my yard the other day. The blue jays feed it, but leave it alone at night. I take it in at night and place in my bird cage, which I don't have anything else in it at the moment, so it does not get hurt. I have a dog outside and 3 cats and the snakes are out this time of year, so I don't want them to catch her. I let her out every morning so they can feed her, and teach her to fly and other things she needs to know. She will not eat anything for me, as I have tried to feed her moistened bread. Any suggestions or comments about this are welcome. Another thing, is one of her eyes are swollen shut. It wasn't like this the first day or two, so I don't know what happened to it. I don't want to put anything on it, because I don't want it to irritate it anymore then it already is. Again, any suggestions would really be appreciated.
