What Is This Walking-Stick-Like Insect?

Hi,

My wife and I spotted this critter (click on link for image) in the Orlando, Florida, area. We never would have seen it if it hadn't happened to be on the railing.

Could anyone tell me the common and scientific names for this creature? It doesn't look like a walking stick to me. Note the scorpion-like curved tail.

It actually is a Two-lined Walking Stick(Anisomorpha buprestoides); this phasmid species is common throughout much of Florida. Your picture is of a mating pair.
