Hymenoptera id needed...

pilonm Nov 09, 2006 08:43 PM

Hello again,

Being in North Carolina (Raleigh) for business for a week, I have plenty of time to work on my picture in the evening... That's why I'm posting so often those days...

Last July I photographied that cute little hymenoptera relaxing on my thuyas and taking sun... It is the first time I saw a wasp with so long antennaes. I really don't know the family/genum/species...

Location: Sherbrooke Quebec Canada (near Vermont/Maine)

Can somebody help me?

Thanks alot for your patience!

Michel

I take lots of insects etc in the garden and find that most can be ID'd by joining http://bugguide.net and posting the images there.

Thank you for the hint Kindale,

Up to now, I can say that it is an ichneumonidae...

Bye,

Michel
