housing roaches and millipedes together?

laynenugget Nov 11, 2006 08:25 PM

i was wondering if it was safe to house my hissing cockroaches and my giant african millipede together. will the roaches pester the pede? will the pede's hydrocyanide be toxic to the roaches? any info will help, thanks!

I would say that it would be better to separate them into species specific housing. The only way to house them together, would involve a fairly good sized eco-terrarium with plants, bio-active substrate & abundant space for each arthropod. You could probably pull it off in a more spartan situation, but cleanliness can become an issue (ie.: mold, fungus, bacteria).
