Glowing Insect

I was sitting at my computer tonite next to my window and a bug flew onto the window screen, when i shut the light off the bugs body glowed bright neon green. I tried looking up what it was but i couldent find anything. I have never seen any bug like this before. Does anyone have any idea what it could have been, i live on cape cod if that helps.
