Hello,

This is my first time here. Can anyone recommend a tarantua that is unususually colorful, but does not need super-high humidity?

Can a Mexican Redknee Tarantula adult live ok on crickets? Or is rodent prey necessary? Will they take Frozen-thawed, or does the mouse need to be live? How often does an adult Redknee need rodent prey (once per week, once per month, etc.)?

You never have to give them rodents. Crickets will suit them fine their entire life.

Absolutely! Chromatoplema cyaneopubescens (Greenbottle blue tarantula) Very colorful! They have a green carapace, and orange abdomen and blue legs. They are one the the most dry tolerant species out there. I never give mine water, just crickets.

Pterinochilus murinus is another dry tolerant species, and they are all orange. They are a bit feisty, and not a good beginner species though.
