My fiance just (literally!) brought home a 2" brazilian white knee. From the little I've found about them, he's supposed to get biggish, and they arn't REALLY handleable. On the other hand, it has alot to do with the individual animal, too... And this one is hungry - it's had THREE 1/2" crickets this afternoon, jumping on each as soon as it saw them!

SO... How do you sex one? The same as any other T? this one has the two side patches of odd fur on the underside, like my male rosie, but is there a better way to tell at his size with out a shed? He recently shed (it was in the tank with him), it will be a little while before we get another shed, and this one wasn't the greatest. Thanks!

ps - that's the 2nd cricket he's eating, and the cap by the T. is a cap to a soda bottle.

Watching 3 two-year-old humans and type doesn't work well! -)

I MEANT to ask, "How small can you sex one?" not how DO you sex one. Then, I got side-tracked on that thought! C'est la vie...

You can sex them with a molt from about 1" Legspan. I've ventrally sexed some Aphonopelmas at 2" before wiht great accuracy. But that is an easy species to do so on.
