My new 3-inch post-juvvie Red-Kneed dug a hole in the peat, which is reasonably well packed. How much time will he spend in his burrow?

Does he need some kind of special care while he's under ground? I can't think of any but for me the question needs to be asked.

Depends, most B. smithi spend less and less time in their burrow as they get bigger. Your's is probably in the transition phase.

Nope, just leave it alone and it'll come out when it wants to. Just ensure the waterdish is always full. I once had a G. rose stay webbed into its hide for 2 months.
