I have a childrens python and tonight when i went in his room to feed him i found him damngling (hangman style) from the top of his Viv. My wife had thought that there was to sharp of an edge and he might get hurt so she covered it with duck tape. Somehow Sal (our snake) got his body pushed int the crevise just right undoin the tape and was now actually stuck to the tape and dangling. I got some water loosened the tape and puleed him off slowly..to my surprise he was active and moving but has looked as if the skin on his neck was seriously stretched out and is dangling. i'm taking him to vet in the morning but if anyone has some words of encouragement because we have grown quite attached to our snakes and are worried he might not recover..my wife in paticular is feeling really bad.
So if anyone knows of similar injury or if snakes skin gain regain elasicity or anybody with alot of Herp experience can give me any advice before tomorrow afternoon i'd appreciate it?
