Silly poop question

cjb579 Feb 04, 2008 05:22 PM

Hello,

I was just wondering what tarantula poop looks like. My rose hair eats pretty regularly and I have been finding this greyish-white liquid "packet" in her substrate and as soon as I touch it it smears everywhere. Is this her poop? I've never seen T poop before (although I do work with them at the zoo I work at) and was just wondering.

Thanks!

Yep, that's poop! Usually you find bit of dried white stuff on the side of the tank, near substrate level. I've found it rare to see any of it fresh like that.

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure! Apparently she would rather leave it in the substrate and not do any smearing - I see she left me another nice little pile!
