New owner!!! rubbing legs?

acgoring May 28, 2008 03:14 PM

Why is my G. Rosea rubbing his legs? I know about the urticating hairs thing... I had him out about 1 hr ago, and now he's in his cage, rubbing together his two front legs (and HIS arms)... this has been going on for a while now...
Also, how many worms should I feed him per week? I honestly don't know how old he is... I live in Taiwan, and communication (like translating Red Fur Spider to Chilean Rose Hair) can be difficult.
He lives in a glass cage the floor surface area about equal to 4 of him!! Enough?
Thanks everyone.

Your G. rosea is cleaning itself. You were just handling it and it got oils and dirt from your skin on it's feet. Now it is trying to get that stuff removed. Perfectly noraml behavior.
