Abnormal behavior?

Hi all, I have my first T, a Mexican Red-kneed. He used to stay in his burrow for a couple months at a time. But I can't tell if he came out at night often.

Now, he has a bigger habitat with a 1/4 inch deep drinking pool and sphagnum moss for the substrate. He eats crickets when he's hungry. But, he never burrows now. It's been many months since he made a burrow. Is there anything wrong? He also does an escape behavior, by walking up the glass and grabbing the top edge, and he pulls and pulls, like he's trying to shift the top of the wall so he can get out. Any comments? Hmmmm...he hasn't shed for a long time now.

Does all of this add up to a recognizable syndrome that is commonly seen?

Is the substrate you're using different that what you had before? Sound like it doesn't like the substrate to me. Is it Sphagnum moss or Sphagnum peat moss? The peat moss looks kinda like dirt and that's what you want. The regular sphagnum is green and very leafy. That doesn't make a good substrate, unless it is just to hold water for an arboreal species.
