kylerector Oct 10, 2008 07:33 PM

I have a tarantula that what sold to me as a chilean zebra. I havent ever heard of it. On the head its a bronze color then turns more darker going down the has little broze stripes going in a almost horizontal line. Hes about 3inchens in legs span. Hes real twitchy and will turn over and show you his fangs. I dont know if hes a type of baboon because some of them do it. I have a usambara orange baboon but it looks nothing like the so called chilean zebra. Any comments would be great help!

Never heard of a Chilean zebra. But often times dealers and pet store suppliers have strange common names that make little to no sense at all. Often times a single spider gets 4 or 5 different common names depending on who you ask.

Can you post a picture of your new spider? That might help us identify it for you.
