What is the most humane and least "gross" way of killing a cricket to feed to my slings? I read that I could freeze them but it seems like freezing them would make them less appealing to the spider.

I suppose freezing would work. Carbon Dioxide would be more humane. But why go to all that trouble? I just squish them with the forceps/tweezers as I'm pulling them out of their container. Or you can also pull the back legs off the bigger ones and just feed the legs to your slings.

yeah just toss small crix in and let nature take its course. the end result is the same.
I beat my crickets with a wooden mallet and light them on fire then serve them chilled to my slings!
Just kidding.
I do the pinch with the forceps as well.
I feed hundreds of slings a week at work and this is the easiest quickest way. No need to be humane when the cricket will be eaten anyways!

I thought squishing the crix would be kind of gross (for me) but I did it last night to feed the slings and had no problem with it.
Thanks for the comments!
Glad it worked out for you.
