Japanese Frog Beetles

hey, i was interested in finding out some exstensive first hand information on these awesome little beetles. i know the basics such as cage design and diet (anything else but kudzu?) but i have no information on captive propogation etc.

Well, I've learned that they only live abouit 6 months and will eat fruit cheerfully as aduilts, but my research indicates that the grubs will not survive if not given kudzu to eat. If you are living in a kudzu-infested area of the Deep South you are in luck and can just pot up a plant for yourself. Otherwise you will have to send for seed from someplace like Kudzu Kingdom.

I cannot even find a source for these stunning beetles in the USA. Do you know of one? I am so partial to the beetles that I would cheerfully infest my home state with kudzu to raise them successfully. Another question in my mind is how many you would need to start with to have a viable breeding population that wouldn;t get all inbred and horrible.
