The beetles that I collected earlier in the fall laid eggs and hatched. The first instar grubs now appear to be eating as they have grown in size. Oh Yeahh!!!!!!
Also, if anybody has ever set up light trap buckets for collecting beetles, I was wondering what battery they had used to do so? In southern California it is rain beetle time and I was hoping to use these traps to collect some of the predawn species of Pleocoma.
