Do the grubs of this species only eat rotten wood and leaves? What do the adults eat? I have a chance to get a pair of larvae of this species and am really interested in them.
Thanks

They will eat both. Also try to put in some cat food for them. I have found oak to be the best wood.
I decided not to get the larvae, but I have a question. How do you make the substrate for the larva to live in? How much are you supposed to grind up the food? How do you keep the substrate moist?
Thanks,
Andrew
