Hello people, I have 2 ladybugs or whatever you call them, I'm not usually into insects of any type except for mantis. I was wondering how you care for them and what to feed them? also I noticed one on top of the other with something connecting to the other so I figured they mated, how do you care for the eggs? please help thank you.

Find a supply of aphids which are eaten by both the adults and larvae.

It may be difficult locating aphids during this time of year. You can try to see if there are dormant colonies in areas that are free of pesticides. You may be able to substitute another pest for prey such as whiteflies-which can infest houseplants. They also eat, mealy-bugs, leaf-hoppers, some mites and some scale(larval stages).
Goodluck.
